System testing for mobile operator
Overview
Project 4 is a new UMTS operator in Poland. With the aggressive launch schedules and strategy of becoming the most innovative, P4 deals with challenges in terms of resourcing and system implementation. Edge Solutions was selected as outsourcing partner to lead all the activities related to supporting the IT and Business Departments in the quality control and system verification areas.
Customer Business Need
Complex systems need extensive verification before migration to production. Strategy of launching all services at once requires careful planning and execution of the project with a special focus on quality assurance. Failure was not an option.
Edge Solutions Involvement
- Overall test management and implementation of the test process
- Definition of the test strategy for post-paid and prepaid services (core network, VAS, OSS)
- Preparation of test suites, test plans and test cases.
- Business analysis, requirements definition, facilitation of the customer meetings
- Preparation of Work Break Structure estimates for Project Managers and IT Director
- System verification of the multi-vendor environment.
- Preparation and execution of User Acceptance Tests
- Coaching and training client staff (IT, business and customer care)
