Testing - don't mix it with the quality assurance
Formally, the testing belongs to the Software Quality Assurance (SQA), and it is recognized as Software Quality Control (SQC). There is substantial difference between SQA and SQC. The Software Quality Assurance is the set of the processes embedded into the software production, or even entire organization, in order to assure that the work products have required quality, and there are no major issues. The testing activities (SQC) are to present the objective results of the quality measures, opposite to Software Quality Assurance (SQA) that is to prevent problems before they can be observed. Therefore SQA activities are closer to the quality philosophy, and they're about the organization management, processes and their relationships. Testing is focused on engineering side and requires great organization and techniques in order to provide objective results that can be delivered timely and interpreted by management.

We work on site, as part of the client's team, and also in off-shore mode, at remote location in NSDC in Łódź. The quality of our SQC engineering staff is confirmed by ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board). When we work with our clients, we bring the quality focus with us, as the quality is embedded in all we do. From our experience, the test results unveil the organization's process capabilities deficiencies thus triggers required changes in software development processes.
Remember, more software testing won't fix software problems that have been introduced before software testing.
